Dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid gels injected beneath the skin, which physically replace lost volume. The gel provides immediate support, rebuilding structure to improve flatter cheeks, soften hollow areas and bring definition back to the face.
Dr Imogen will choose filler placement based on your anatomy and proportions, rather than filling wherever you see a hollolw. For example, if you have deeper nose-to-mouth lines because the cheeks have lost support, we’ll recommend rebuilding the mid-face first to soften the fold without heavily filling the line.

A dual-action hybrid injectable that combines hyaluronic acid with calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA). The hyaluronic acid provides an immediate lift and volume, whereas the CaHA microspheres activate fibroblasts, which will continue to stimulate your body’s own natural collagen production over the following weeks and months, which is great for firming skin on the face.
We’ll typically recommend HArmonyCa for the mid and lower face, where there’s volume loss, flattened cheeks, reduced jawline support and mild laxity. Results last 12-18 months.

Sculptra is not your typical or traditional hyaluronic acid filler. It’s a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) collagen-stimulating injectable, which encourages the skin to rebuild more of its own structural collagen.
Instead of adding volume immediately with gel, Sculptra is a gradual treatment that works deep beneath the skin to strengthen its underlying foundations and framework.
As collagen builds, areas such as the cheeks and jawline can appear firmer and better supported, which is particularly useful for patients whose entire face has become generally flatter or hollower. Results can appear after one month and last up to two years after one treatment course.
Dark circles under the eyes could actually be hollowing, creating a shadow. We’ll inject a small amount of hyaluronic acid filler within the tear trough to soften the transition between the lower eyelid and the cheek to make the area look less sunken and tired. However, consultations are important.
Under-eye hollows need volume. Thin under-eye skin needs better skin quality. They’re not the same problem. This means that not every under-eye is suitable for filler. If the main concern is thin or crepey skin rather than volume loss, Dr Imogen may recommend a regenerative treatment such as polynucleotides instead.
Sometimes the best way to improve the lower face is to put the cheek back where the support has been lost. Strategically placed cheek filler can replace mid-face support to help recreate shape and improve overall balance.
