Dental Implant Treatment Georgetown

Lost all of your natural teeth and are currently wearing dentures? Or perhaps you’ve lost a single tooth and are looking for a long-lasting fixed solution? Chances are, if you’ve landed here, you’ve heard how good an option dental implants are and want to explore if they’ll work for you!

At Aventis Dental in Georgetown, your dental implant journey begins with a comprehensive consultation with specialist dentist and implantologist, Dr Janish Grewal. During this visit, Dr Grewal will assess your suitability for implants using advanced 3D CBCT imaging. Based on these findings, he will recommend the most appropriate implant type, brand, and a personalised treatment protocol tailored to your clinical needs.

What patients should know about dental implants

  • Dental implants can replace individual teeth
  • They can replace multiple missing teeth in a row (implant bridge)
  • Or they can be used to replace a full arch of missing teeth using minimal implants
  • The entire treatment process can take up to 3 months to complete
  • Immediate tooth replacement is possible using temporaries

Types of dental implants we offer

We offer four types of dental implant treatment, each designed to address a specific type of tooth loss. You’ll be recommended a specific type following a consultation, as your suitability will depend on the quality of bone in your jaw.

  • Carried out under local anaesthetic

all on 4

All-on-4 dental implants

  • Completed with a fixed bridge of 10-14 teeth
  • Recommended for full mouth replacement or cases with no bone
  • Typically a 4-6 hour procedure
  • Carried out under local anaesthetic or sedation

How dental implants work

Dental implants are the most advanced prosthetic option for tooth loss, offering superior benefits compared with conventional treatments such as dental bridges and dentures. They provide a permanent, long-term solution to tooth loss, using small titanium screws in your jaw to replace the tooth root, not just the tooth.

Once these screws have been surgically placed into your jawbone, they’ll begin to fuse with the surrounding bone, keeping them firm and securely in place for up to 30 years. After a typical three-month healing period, you’ll be able to have your temporary teeth removed and replaced with your final crown, bridge or denture.

Benefits of choosing dental implants over other prosthetics

  • Look, feel, and function like natural teeth
  • Fixed in place – no slipping or movement
  • Help preserve jawbone and prevent bone loss
  • Do not rely on neighbouring teeth for support
  • Long-lasting and highly durable solution
  • Restores natural bite strength for confident chewing
  • Support long-term oral health and facial structure

The dental implant process explained

Learn what the dental implant procedure involves and the timelines to expect. Some steps might change depending on the type of dental implant treatment. For example, with All-on-4 dental implants, you can expect immediate-loaded implants at the end of your appointment, where this is not always possible with single implants or implant dentures.

Ask us how the implant procedure might work for you.
