Aventis Dental uses porcelain inlays and onlays to restore damaged teeth conservatively, fitting custom-made restorations that preserve more natural tooth than crowns while matching natural appearance, delivered in a comfortable dental setting.
Inlays and onlays work like a filling to repair a broken tooth or cavity. However, unlike conventional fillings, they are made in a dental lab from porcelain. This means they fit into the cavity like a jigsaw puzzle.
They are also a more conservative option, requiring less tooth removal than a normal crown. Porcelain makes them smooth and shaped like your original tooth, and they’re much stronger and less likely to break.
Getting an inlay or onlay fitted is similar to getting a conventional crown, but it’s kinder to the tooth because less healthy tissue needs to be removed. During your treatment, we provide noise-cancelling headphones, and we even have in-ceiling TV screens to entertain and distract you.
