The treatment in detail

Microneedling uses a device with tiny, sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, triggering the body’s natural healing response and stimulating collagen and elastin production. As the skin repairs itself, it becomes firmer, smoother, and more even-toned, helping improve the appearance of acne scars, fine lines, and enlarged pores.

The vampire facial side of the treatment combines microneedling with platelet-rich plasma (PRP), a healing serum made from your own blood. Our medical aestheticians will draw a small blood sample, centrifuge it to isolate plasma rich in growth factors, and then apply it to your skin with microneedling.

The vampire facial procedure

Every facial aesthetics treatment at our skin clinic in the Cayman Islands begins with a free consultation to assess your skin concerns and determine whether microneedling alone, or with PRP, is the best option for you. If we find out that it is, the procedure will go as follows:

• Your skin is cleansed and prepared.
• Local anaesthetic cream is applied for 30 minutes
• We draw a small amount of blood from your arm.
• We centrifuge the blood to separate the platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
• A microneedling device creates micro-channels in the skin.
• We apply the PRP to the skin to enhance healing and collagen production.
• Includes a free collagen face mask in our tranquil recovery room afterwards

The procedure typically takes 45-60 minutes and uses a topical numbing cream. The treated areas will turn red following the procedure and will gradually subside. Apply moisturiser regularly as the skin could become dry and flaky during the first 2-3 days. You can apply make-up the next day.

Most patients undergo 3-4 treatments spaced about 4-6 weeks apart.

Skin texture and tone improve noticeably within three weeks. Full collagen regeneration takes up to three months. By weeks 6-16, the skin gradually becomes smoother and firmer as collagen production increases. Many patients choose to undergo maintenance facials every 6-12 months.
