Microneedling the skin with PRP, often referred to as the Vampire facial or Vampire Facelift, is a popular facial treatment among celebrities that improves skin texture, acne scars, fine lines and overall skin health.
By combining Dermapen microneedling (collagen-induction therapy) with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) derived from your own blood in one treatment, our facial aestheticians can stimulate the skin’s natural healing process, boosting collagen production and improving overall skin tone and texture.
Microneedling uses a device with tiny, sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, triggering the body’s natural healing response and stimulating collagen and elastin production. As the skin begins to repair itself, it becomes firmer, smoother, and more even-toned, helping to improve the appearance of acne scars, fine lines, and enlarged pores.
The vampire facial side of the treatment combines microneedling with platelet-rich plasma (PRP), a healing serum made from your own blood. Our medical aestheticians will draw a small blood sample, spin it in a centrifuge to isolate the plasma rich in growth factors and then apply it to your skin with microneedling.

Every facial aesthetics treatment at our skin clinic in the Cayman Islands begins with a free consultation to assess your skin concerns and determine whether microneedling alone, or with PRP, is the best option for you. If we find out that it is, the procedure will go as follows:
The procedure typically takes 45-60 minutes and is performed with topical numbing cream. The treated areas will turn red following the procedure and will gradually subside. Apply moisturiser regularly as the skin could become dry and flaky during the first 2-3 days. Make-up can be applied the next day.
Most patients undergo 3-4 treatments spaced about 4-6 weeks apart.
Improvement of skin texture and tone is noticeable within three weeks. Full collagen regeneration takes up to three months. By weeks 6-16, the skin gradually becomes smoother and firmer as collagen production increases. Many patients choose to undergo maintenance facials every 6-12 months.
