Nose-to-mouth lines, or smile lines, are creases that run from either side of the nose towards the corners of the mouth.
Everyone has them to some degree, but they can deepen and become more noticeable with age, volume loss, reduced collagen, repeated facial movement, or weight loss.
Dr Bexfield assesses the surrounding facial structure before deciding where to place filler. She places filler based on your facial anatomy, either directly within or around the fold to soften its depth.
For example, if your nasolabial fold is caused by loss of cheek volume above, our goal will be to restore mid-face volume first, which can soften the fold and produce a more natural-looking result.

Results are visible immediately, with mild swelling or tenderness for a few days after dermal filler treatment; final results settle within 1-2 weeks and last up to 18 months.
