Proven to work

Clinical studies from Stanford University found that BroadBand Light treatment could rejuvenate the gene expression pattern of aged human skin. Genes specifically targeted for wrinkles, pigmentation, and elasticity could be successfully treated with BBL. The more damaged or aged the skin was, the more visible the improvements were.

The BBL treatment procedure

Your treatment begins with a consultation to assess your skin concerns and determine the most suitable BBL settings for your skin type. We’ll also have our practitioner assess skin tone, pigmentation, redness and sun damage.

During the procedure:

• The skin is cleansed, and protective eyewear is provided.
• A cooling gel may be applied to the treatment area.
• The BBL device delivers pulses of light energy across the skin.
• Most patients describe the sensation as a warm, mild snapping feeling similar to an elastic band.
• A typical session takes 20–30 minutes, depending on the treatment area.

Most patients undergo 3–5 BBL treatments spaced 3–4 weeks apart. By weeks 8-12, patients will notice pigmentation fading, redness reducing, and skin becoming brighter and smoother. To sustain results, we recommend 1-2 maintenance treatments per year.
